What We Are Doing In Regards To Covid-19

Piccolo Opening 
The nursery team have taken guidance from the Government and consultation from Services for Young Children. Piccolo is consider a bubble, which allow us to have the children exploring the entire setting. 
Piccolo is fully staff and we are able to offer our normal hours.

Summary Of Changes and Restrictions
- Parents will not be permitted to enter the setting at any time.
- Communication with parents will be via telephone or email.
- Parents need to ensure they apply the 2meter rule while waiting outside for drop off and pick up and to make 
   sure their child always stays with them.
- Children will be given antibacterial hand gel as they enter the premises.
- Children will be washing their hands regularly.
- The hall will be split into 3 areas, were the children can move freely..
-  Snack will be prepared and taken to the children.
- If your child is not well, please keep him/her at home.
- If child becomes unwell at Piccolo, parent/guardian will be called immediately, the child will need to wear a
   mask and be isolated with a member of staff until you pick them up.

We will be continuously monitoring Public Health guidance, Government website and any information regarding education and Covid-19, reviewing our approach to ensure that we follow all guidelines as the wellbeing of the children, staff and parents are paramount to us. We will contact you if there are any changes for example; if there is a confirmed case of Covid-19 within Piccolo or any changes within the setting or Government guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is happening in regards to pre-visits?
A: Pre-visits will be happening, but parents will not be able to stay with the child.
​
Q: Can my child bring toys from home?
A: Unfortunately they will not be allowed to bring any toys from home, this is to avoid cross contamination. 
 
Q: What will happen if there is a confirmed case of Covid-19 within Piccolo?
A: If there is a confirmed case we will inform all parents immediately and we will shut Piccolo for 14days following the Government guidelines "If you live with others and you are the first in the household to have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), then you must stay at home for at least 7 days. All other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days." to help reduce the spread.
