Meet The Team 

Every staff member in our setting are highly qualified and extremely experienced, and are all Paediatric First Aid Trained. Our staff are fully committed to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) themes and principles, focusing on  children's communication, language, physical development, personal and social development. 

Following government guidelines our staff ratios are 1-to-4 children aged under three years old and 1-to-8 for children aged three and above. Our setting provides 1-to-1 learning time for every child, we feel it is important for each child to have access to 1-to-1 independent learning time with their keyperson, to help further their development.

Piccolo Pre-School Nursery has a key person/co-keyperson system. This means that whilst all staff members attend to every child in our setting, to help them develop, learn and grow, each staff member has a group of children for whom they are mainly responsible - your child's key person will be the individual who works with you the most, throughout your child's Piccolo journey. We also operate on an open door policy, we are always happy to talk to you, answer any questions and as well as provide consistent updates about your child's progress and how their day went.
